Breakfast is served!
From the week beginning 10th January 2022, Eagle House Bed and Breakfast will be serving Breakfast from our new Menu.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and we want to make sure that it is always a delightful experience. That’s why we’ve introduced a new breakfast menu with several delicious items including Eggs Benedict, Breakfast Muffins, and Pancakes.
Hot Dishes
English Breakfast
The staple of any breakfast menu is the full English and ours is no different. Sausage, Bacon, Baked Beans, Tomato, Mushrooms, Hash Brown and your choice of poached, scrambled or fried egg.
Light Breakfast
Grilled tomato, bacon, and poached egg. The light breakfast gives you a little of what you like when the English Breakfast is too much.
Eggs Benedict
The Eagle House version of Eggs Benedict is a poached egg with ham and creamed spinach served on a toasted English muffin and topped with hollandaise sauce. The rich sauce is prepared with egg yolk, melted butter, and lemon juice. A real treat.
Breakfast Muffin
A toasted English muffin with bacon, sausage and a poached egg. Perfect for breakfast on the go.
Scotch Pancakes
A tower of Scotch Pancakes topped with your choice of bacon and maple syrup or fruit compote.
Vegetarian and Vegan alternatives.
We have thought long and hard about the options we will be offering and have prepared a menu that has something for everyone. Our separate vegetarian and vegan menu provides alternatives for the meat and dairy-based products in the breakfast dishes described above.
Bread, Pastries and Cereals
All of our breakfasts come with white or granary toast and your choice of jams, marmalade, peanut butter, honey or marmite. You can also choose from our selection of cereals, pastries, fruit, nuts and yoghurt while you wait for your hot food to be freshly prepared.
Drinks
As well as coffee and fruit juices, you can choose from an extensive selection of teas:
Twining’s
Everyday Tea
Cranberry and Raspberry
Mango and Strawberry
Blackcurrant and Blueberry
St Clements
Pukka
Elderberry and Echinacea
Lemon and Ginger
Manuka Honey
Three Mint
Food provenance
Minimising food miles has had a significant impact on our menu and our choices of suppliers. Where reasonably practicable we source all of our ingredients locally. Several fruit trees and bushes have been planted in our garden which are used whenever they are available. We believe that food provenance is particularly important for animal products and all of our meat and egg is provided by our local award-winning Master Butcher, Perrys of Eccleshall. Their produce tastes great, but they also guarantee that it is reared within five miles of Eccleshall.
Allergens
Where our dishes contain any of the 14 major allergens, this is identified. A list is available on our website and displayed in the library where breakfast is served. Anyone with food sensitivities, allergies, or special dietary needs is encouraged to discuss these with us in advance. We will endeavor to accommodate your needs by identifying alternatives and preparing meals separately.
Chef’s specials
From time to time we will also be offering weekend chef’s specials so keep checking in with our blog and our social media accounts to find out more.

When I stopped I had the full English. It was really tasty but that video makes me wish I had gone for the eggs benny.
There is always next time.
