Enjoy Staffordshire Tourism and Good Food award 2023

Categories; ,

In March, Staffordshire’s best tourism and hospitality businesses were judged at the 2022-23 Enjoy Staffordshire Tourism and Good Food Awards. As finalists, Andy and I got to go to the glamorous awards ceremony!

Over 280 guests were at the Doubletree by Hilton Stoke-on-Trent for the glittering occasion, which was presented by BBC Midlands Today TV presenter Rebecca Wood.

There were 20 categories of awards covering all areas of hospitality, including attractions, accommodation businesses, and places to eat. They were all celebrated for their dedication and hard work in giving visitors to Staffordshire an incredible and unforgettable experience.

It was great to hear about all the fantastic places to visit in the area such as the National Memorial Arboretum and Lower Drayton Farm

We have added a few to our list of places to check out with our family and hope to visit them soon, so we can tell our guests all about them.

We enjoyed dressing up in our best threads and had a great evening chatting to other award winners, meeting the lovely Stafford Deputy Mayor and his wife, listening to the entertainment and having a great meal. We would like to thank all those involved in arranging and running the evening, it was a fabulous occasion.

We were honoured to be given a Silver Award in the Best B&B/Guest House of the year category. This is a real achievement for us as we have only been in business for 18 months and are a small team of two!

We are very proud to receive this award and it has spurned us on to look at other areas of our business that we can improve on, implementing new ideas and striving to give our guests the best experience possible.

Watch this space for news of future facilities to be put in place!
