Christmas 2021
It’s our first Christmas as the new owners of Eagle House Bed and Breakfast. We have been very excited to be putting up all the decorations!
We had great fun bringing them all up from the cellar to see what we had inherited with the house to add to our own decorations. The giant Christmas tree looks magnificent in the grand hall. It has been bedecked with lights and decorated in a traditional style with a gold and red theme.
The imposing two-story staircase is festooned with festive garlands, all the way up to the top. The library, our guest lounge, has also had a Christmas makeover, with festive decorations and crackers wherever you look.
Our one-bedroom self-catering apartment, the Eagle’s Nest, hasn’t missed out either! There is an impressive Christmas tree in the lounge, complete with lights, in a more contemporary silver and purple theme. A matching garland hangs over the fireplace.
The hall fire has been burning with pine cones and wood gathered from the garden. We have been feeling cosy in front of it, wrapping presents and watching Christmas films, after tidying up the fallen leaves in the frosty garden.
There has even been had a sprinkling of snow in Eccleshall. The timing was perfect as snow fell on the day the town’s Christmas lights were turned on. At Christmas, everywhere looks truly magical. The High street has many twinkly Christmas trees and every shop looks festive. There are lots of warm and inviting pubs here, perfect to pop into for a festive tipple after visiting the shops!
As well as spending time with family and friends over the holiday period (COVID willing), we are putting the final touches to our breakfast menu. We will be offering a wide variety of breakfast choices to our guests in the New Year, so watch this space for more details!
We are excited to see what 2022 brings us and look forward to welcoming all our future guests.
Wishing all our old, new, and future customers a happy Christmas and all the best for the coming year.
Helen and Andy
